FAQ
Can I have a puppy cut?
Sure, but be advised that a puppy doesn't give us enough information. "Puppy cut" can be interpreted in many different ways. However, most groomers can agree on is a "puppy cut" means "one length all over" . therefore, you have to choose the length you would like.
Are anal gland expressions neccessary?
Depends. The anal gland is a gland inside the butt that fill with a smelly brown liquid over time. This is the same gland skunks use. SImilarly to skunks, dogs can express them if the become freightened or stressed or any other number of reasons! You may periodically smell a rotten fishy smell. Getting this gland expressed regular prevents spontaneous expressions and prevents other problems like overfilling as well.
This is a service some pet parents reserve for the vet to express internally. Some pets, likely larger dogs, can express their glands themselves when they go potty. You can ask your Stylist to check them externally if you are not sure. Neat paws expresses them externally, you vet can take a look if there is an issue or if they need expressing internally.

Why would i need an extended appointment?
There are many factors that contribute to the price and appointment duration time.
Size, temperament, style, dry time, add-ons, and so forth
In order to begin the bath, your pet's coat must be tangle free! Tangles or "matts" will trap and conceal dirt, debris, and products preventing them from getting clean or ever getting dry! If your pet needs to be de-matted or shaved down before the bath, this will add about 30 minutes to prep before we begin the bath. Additionally, all fleas must be dealt with, no exceptions. Flea shampoo must soak for a minimum of 20 minutes which will require a though rinsing to prevent skin irritation and residue. We will agree upon a final price to be paid after the consultation, before the groom. Via Cash, Cashapp, Zelle, or Venmo.

With over 13 years of Pet-styling experience, and an active pursuer of higher education and industry standards, probably so. I always encourage finding a picture that you liked from the past of your pet's haircut, or a picture that is similar to your pet with the style you would like. this way we can ensure you are getting as close to your desired outcome as I can.
